extensive row width test covering a total of 44 plots.\n\nThe aim is to find out what influence different row widths and seed rates have on the population development of winter wheat.\n\n\ud83d\udc49 In test 1, we sowed three different A wheat varieties \u2013 with three different row widths:\n\u25aa\ufe0f 16.7 cm (with the Avatar 6.16 SD)\n\u25aa\ufe0f 25 cm (Avatar 6 SL) and\n\u25aa\ufe0f 50 cm (with the Avatar 6 SL where the double row spacing was realised via selective tubing)\n\nTwo different seed rates were used: 180 grains\/m\u00b2 and 250 grains\/m\u00b2. In order to achieve meaningful results, the test was repeated.\n\n\ud83d\udc49 In trial 2, the focus was on a B wheat variety. Here, too, 25 cm and 50 cm row widths were used. The seed rate was gradually reduced - from 250 to 100 grains\/m\u00b2 - to observe the effects of lower population densities on the yield.\n\nAbout the assessment:\nWe recorded various parameters in the crop in mid-April - including...\n\u2714\ufe0f the degree of tillering\n\u2714\ufe0f the population height\n\u2714\ufe0f the number of plants per square metre\n\nOf course, the harvest will finally show how the differences have affected the yield.
